Do you want to hear about the Shipwreck Museum? I will tell you about it. At the Shipwreck Museum you can look at diving equipment and you can have a tour of AWESOME shipwrecks and a tour inside a lighthouse. You can also go on an underwater tour. You will see really cool stuff like some parts of a sunken ship. You might even see some fish! After that you can go and see Lake Superior, the biggest of the Great Lakes. The Shipwreck Museum is AMAZING and AWESOME.

Now you heard about the fun you can do there, there is also a lot of history. The history is amazing, so I will tell you the AMAZING of that. The museum opened in 1978 by a group of divers, educators and teachers who wanted to teach about shipwrecks in Whitefish Point, Michigan. The museum has a light house that was made when the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, was president.

That is a long time ago. The light house is still operating. It is the oldest light house on Lake Superior. Have you heard of the Edmond Fitzgerald? The Edmond Fitzgerald was the biggest steam ship at that time. The museum has the real ship and brought it up from Lake Superior and has the history. That is the amazing history of the Shipwreck Museum.

Now that you know a little bit about the Shipwreck Museum, here is the visiting information. The Shipwreck Museum is open May 1 until October 31. You can come from 10 AM until 6 PM.
